This 4-credit CPD course is designed for Educational Psychologists to equip them with the knowledge and skills to effectively integrate technology into their practice. Participants will explore various educational technologies, learn how to assess and select appropriate tools, and develop strategies for using technology to enhance learning outcomes for diverse learners.
Course Title: Integrating Technology for Effective Learning in the 21st Century.
Module 1: Foundations of Technology-Enhanced Learning
- Theoretical frameworks of technology integration in education (e.g., SAMR model, TPACK)
- The impact of technology on cognitive development and learning styles
- Ethical and legal considerations (e.g., data privacy, copyright, digital citizenship)
Module 2: Exploring Educational Technologies
- Learning Management Systems (LMS) and their applications
- Interactive whiteboards and their use in the classroom
- Educational apps and their pedagogical implications
- Online learning platforms and their potential for blended learning
- Assistive technologies for learners with special needs
Module 3: Designing Technology-Enhanced Learning Experiences
- Developing technology-integrated lesson plans and activities
- Creating engaging and interactive online learning experiences
